Wichita State interim head coach Isaac Brown will “absolutely” be considered as a candidate to become the Shockers’ permanent head coach, Wichita State AD Darron Boatright said on Sunday night.
“He will absolutely be considered,” Boatright said of Brown, who has led the Shockers to a 9-4 record through 13 games. “You have to acknowledge the ability that he’s shown to pull the group together. We’ve got several new guys. We’ve had to deal with COVID. It hasn’t been an easy year.”
Gregg Marshall resigned as Wichita State’s head coach on Nov. 17th following an internal investigation of physical and verbal abuse.
Brown has served as an assistant at Wichita State since 2014.
The Shockers are currently in sole possession of second place in the American Athletic Conference.
