Utah State’s Craig Smith is finalizing a deal to become the next head coach at Utah, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation.
An official announcement is expected soon.
Smith replaces Larry Krystkowiak, who was fired two weeks ago.
The 48-year old Smith was 74-23 in three seasons at Utah State and led the Aggies to three consecutive NCAA Tournaments.
