UNC Greensboro’s Wes Miller and Ohio State assistant Ryan Pedon have both emerged as serious candidates for the head coaching vacancy at Cincinnati, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation.
There is no timetable for a decision, but one separate source said that Cincinnati’s administration wanted to “expedite the process”.
The Bearcats are endeavoring to replace John Brannen, who was fired last week after two seasons following an internal investigation.
The 38-year old Miller has led UNC Greensboro to five straight 20-win seasons and two NCAA Tournament appearances in the last four years.
Pedon has been Ohio State’s top assistant under Chris Holtmann.
