Sources: Paul Weir not expected to return to New Mexico next season.

Paul Weir is not expected to return as New Mexico’s head coach next season, according to a source with direct knowledge of the situation.

An official announcement is expected soon.

Weir is in his fourth season as head coach of the Lobos, who have been unable to play in Albuquerque this season due to issues related to COVID-19.

New Mexico is currently 6-14 overall and 2-14 in Mountain West play.

Weir’s overall record with the Lobos is 58-61. He was previously the head coach of New Mexico State for one season.
