Pat Chambers is resigning as Penn State’s head basketball coach, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation.
An official announcement is expected soon.
The 49-year old head coach had his best team in State College last season, finishing 21-10 overall and 11-9 in the Big Ten. The Nittany Lions were projected as a potential dark horse for the NCAA Tournament last March before the event was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Chambers was the head coach at Penn State since 2011 and prior to that, was the head coach at Boston University for two seasons.
