The Big East is planning to keep things in place and play a 20-game, double round-robin schedule during the 20-21 season, according to a source.
The league had multiple conference calls on Friday to discuss the conference’s plan moving forward.
The Big East had recently played an 18-game league schedule, but now will shift to 20 following the conference’s addition of UConn.
While the Big East had initially planned to play two conference games in December, two separate sources said that the league is now evaluating that number due to all the travel issues that are associated with COVID-19.
Four Big East teams — Villanova, Creighton, UConn, and Providence — are currently ranked in the ROTHSTEIN 45.
