The Gavitt Games is unlikely to take place during the 20-21 college basketball season due to scheduling conflicts related to COVID-19, according to a source close to the situation.
The event began in 2015 and features an eight-game annual series between the Big East and the Big Ten.
Both conferences aim to resume the event during the 21-22 season.
