SMU transfer Yor Anei has committed to DePaul, he told College Hoops Today on Monday.
The 6-10 big man averaged 6.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks last season.
“I just trust the coaching staff,” Anei said. “I feel with the new coaching staff in place, we’ll have a chance to turn the program around. I feel like the Big East is a faster pace of basketball and will give me more opportunities to be successful.”
Since Anei is a two-time transfer, he will need a waiver from the NCAA to be eligible for the 21-22 season.
DePaul is entering its first year under Tony Stubblefield, who was hired in April to replace Dave Leitao.
