Nate Oats: I think Keon Ellis is the best two-way player in the SEC right now

Nate Oats didn’t hesitate when he was asked to highlight a veteran who was primed to break out during the upcoming season.

“I think Keon Ellis is the best two-way player in the SEC right now,” Oats said this week on the College Hoops Today Podcast. “Now granted, I haven’t seen everybody’s roster, but he’s been dynamite on offense and defense for us. He’s going to be someone that everybody is going to have to watch out for. He’s been our best two-way player all summer and all fall.”

The 6-6 Ellis averaged 5.5 points and four rebounds in 17.5 minutes last season. He had 10 points, nine rebounds, and three steals in Alabama’s Sweet 16 loss to UCLA.

The Crimson Tide are currently ranked 18th in the ROTHSTEIN 45.
