The Mountain West is in discussions with both Oregon State and Washington State to join the league for the 2024-25 college basketball season, a source told College Hoops Today on Thursday.
There is no timetable on an official announcement.
The Mountain West recently announced a football scheduling agreement with both programs for next season.
This is the last season for both Oregon State and Washington State before the Pac-12 disbands.
As of Thursday, the Mountain West had five teams — Colorado State, New Mexico, San Diego State, Utah State, and Nevada — ranked in the Top 48 of the NET.
