For years, Florida State has been able to be picked low in the ACC Preseason Poll and then make its move towards the top of the league standings.
Not anymore.
“We are becoming the hunted,” Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton said Monday on the College Hoops Today Podcast. “We’ve always consistently been the hunters. We’ve got to make that physical and emotional adjustment.”
The Seminoles won the ACC regular season title last season before the NCAA Tournament was cancelled due to COVID-19. They also advanced to back-to-back Sweet 16s in 2018 and 2019.
Florida State was ranked 22nd in this week’s ROTHSTEIN 45.
