Houston is expected to be the top team in the American Athletic Conference this season, but Kelvin Sampson is also bullish on another team from the league that plays in Texas.
“I think people are sleeping on SMU,” Sampson said Monday on the College Hoops Today Podcast. “That’s a good team. They beat Dayton at Dayton. Do people understand how hard it is to win at Dayton?
Both the Cougars and Mustangs are currently undefeated.
