Eric Musselman expected Chris Lykes to be an integral piece for Arkansas when he recruited him last spring as a transfer from Miami. He’s now seeing glimpses in practice of the player that he envisioned coaching.
“He’s really improved over the last three weeks,” Musselman said of the 5-7 Lykes earlier this week on the College Hoops Today Podcast. “He’s proven that he can provide spurts — and streaky spurts — to get us out of ruts. He’s a guy that we’re going to need to give us a jolt when he checks into games or if he starts, we’re going to need him to get us off to good starts.”
Lykes averaged 15.5 points, 5.5 assists, and four rebounds last season at Miami.
Arkansas is currently ranked 16th in the ROTHSTEIN 45.
