Cuonzo Martin: Mark Smith is transitioning into a really good three-point shooter

There’s many reasons for Missouri’s 6-0 start and one of them is Mark Smith.

“He’s transitioning into a really good three-point shooter,” Missouri coach Cuonzo Martin said of Smith Monday on the College Hoops Today Podcast. “He’s also strong at 6-4 and 220 pounds. He attacks the rim with aggression.”

Smith — who initially began his college career at Illinois — is averaging 13.8 points and shooting 43.8 percent from three-point range.

The Tigers will open SEC play on Wednesday night against Tennessee in Columbia.

Missouri is currently ranked seventh in the ROTHSTEIN 45.
