Ayo Dosunmu returned to Illinois for his junior season as a different player and no one has noticed more than his head coach.
“He’s our most improved guy,” Illinois coach Brad Underwood said of Dosunmu Monday on the College Hoops Today Podcast. “I challenge anybody to find anybody that works harder than Ayo in the game of basketball.”
The 6-5 Dosunmu is averaging 25.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists for the 3-0 Illini, who were ranked fifth in this week’s ROTHSTEIN 45.
Illinois will next play Baylor on Wednesday in the Jimmy V Classic in Indianapolis.
