Texas will play LSU next season in a neutral site game at the Toyota Center in Houston, Rodney Terry said Monday on the College Hoops Today Podcast.
An official date is still TBD.
“It’s going to be a great game,” Terry said. “It’s a great area for us in terms of recruiting. We’re going to bring our brand to Houston and LSU will do the same. It’s a marquee matchup for us both.”
Terry said that he would still like to add one more high profile game for Texas next season.
The Longhorns will play in the Empire Classic at Madison Square Garden in November with UConn, Indiana, and Louisville. Texas will also travel to Marquette as part of the Big East-Big 12 Battle.
The Longhorns are currently ranked 23rd in the ROTHSTEIN 45.
