19. LSU: The weight class gets raised on Wednesday at Auburn.

20. Providence: A.J. Reeves is playing some of the best basketball of his career.

21. UConn: Has not lost a game at full strength.

22. Colorado State: Currently on a COVID pause.

23. Villanova: Eric Dixon is emerging.

24. Xavier: Tuesday’s game against UConn will be a war. 

25. Tennessee: Josiah-Jordan James is a difference maker.

26. Illinois: Still waiting on Andre Curbelo’s return.

27. West Virginia: Need to find a third scorer alongside Taz Sherman and Sean McNeil.

28. Texas Tech: Kevin McCullar is the Red Raiders’ X-Factor. 

29. Creighton: Have had two straight games postponed due to COVID.

30. North Carolina: 6-1 when Brady Manek reaches double figures.

31. Oklahoma: Holding opponents to just 59.3 points. 

32. Florida: Charleston Southern transfer Phlan Fleming is a critical piece.

33. Minnesota: This team’s top four scorers were all in different programs last season.

34. Indiana: Three of its next four games will be in Bloomington.

35. Iona: Will begin MAAC play on Dec. 31st against Siena.

40. Wake Forest: Will play back-to-back road games this week at Louisville and Miami.

41. Northwestern: Should be 9-2 entering its game against Michigan State on Jan. 2nd. 

42. Michigan: Thursday’s game at UCF is dangerous.

43. San Diego State: Elite defensively — again.

44. Saint Mary’s: A mid-major version of Wisconsin.

45. San Francisco: Shooting 47.3 percent from the field as a team.
