Georgetown transfer Tre King has committed to Iowa State, he told College Hoops Today on Wednesday.
The 6-9 forward averaged 14.9 points and 6.2 rebounds last season at Eastern Kentucky before committing to Georgetown as a transfer. He then re-entered the transfer portal before ever playing a game for the Hoyas due to an undisclosed issue.
King will have two years of eligibility remaining.
“I felt like over the past couple of weeks I developed a genuine relationship with Iowa State’s staff,” King said. “I feel like from a development perspective, they’ve got the best plan for me. And the Big 12 — it’s arguably the best conference in college basketball.”
Iowa State is currently 6-0 overall in its first season under T.J. Otzelbeger.
