Boise State may be off to an 8-1 start, but Leon Rice still feels that his team has plenty to improve on.
Especially defensively.
“We have to become the best defensive team in Boise State history,” Rice said Monday on the College Hoops Today Podcast. “We still haven’t had our top eight guys on the floor yet together. We should have more of that soon.”
The Broncos have held six of their first nine opponents under 60 points.
Rice also added that Arizona transfer Devonaire Doutrive is expected to make his season debut on Wednesday against Air Force. The 6-5 Doutrive is a former top-100 recruit.
Boise State is currently ranked 44th in this week’s ROTHSTEIN 45.
