Steve Pikiell isn’t content with just being nationally relevant. He wants Rutgers to be special.
The Scarlet Knights are 3-0 entering Tuesday’s game in Piscataway against Syracuse as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and Pikiell knows that for Rutgers to take another step it needs to refine things on one end of the floor.
“We’ve got to continue to evolve our defense,” Pikiell said Monday on the College Hoops Today Podcast. “We have a chance to be unique on that end of the floor.”
Rutgers was ranked 18th in this week’s ROTHSTEIN 45.
