Rutgers transfer Cliff Omoruyi commits to Alabama

Rutgers transfer Cliff Omoruyi has committed to Alabama, he told College Hoops Today on Sunday.

The 6-11 big man averaged 10.4 points and 8.3 rebounds last season.

“I felt Alabama was the best fit for me of all the schools I visited,” Omoruyi told College Hoops Today. “They showed me the path to obtain the mutual goals of winning and player development.”

Omoruyi was also drawn to the Crimson Tide’s style of play under Nate Oats.

“I love their NBA style offense as well as the pace they play,” Omoruyi added. “I feel that this is the best situation to direct me to the NBA, which is my goal.”

Alabama advanced to the Final Four last season for the first time in program history.
